Description

The Grants Manager will be responsible for Glenwood Academy’s grant fundraising program aligning with the strategic direction of Glenwood Academy and the objectives of the development department including drafting of proposals, researching new funders, grant reporting and other duties. Reporting to the Vice President of Development, you will play an integral role to ensure that Glenwood Academy continues our historic longevity to change the lives of those who need us the most. 

Core Job Responsibilities

Grant Writing

  • Write and submit grants and funding requests with quality, timeliness, and attention to detail.
  • Ensure grant submissions are in alignment with funder guidelines and priorities.
  • Create compelling narratives to help inform funders of the important work being done at Glenwood Academy and encourage their investment.
  • Maintain grants calendar for the organization and ensure submissions are timely.

Grants Prospecting

  • Identify new funding opportunities on a regularly scheduled pattern, expanding the current grants portfolio.
  • Collaborate with program staff to stay informed of programming changes that will impact grant writing opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records in Raiser’s Edge on researched funders.

Grants Management

  • Maintain grants calendar to track deadlines, communication, and reporting. 
  • Develop and maintain grant management policies and procedures
  • Assist with establishing goals for grant development, submissions, and revenue. 
  • Work with finance team to prepare budgets and reporting as needed.

Requirement

General Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Proven track record of success and minimum of three years event experience
  • Goal oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Database experience. Raisers Edge experience a plus. 
  • Possess a valid driver’s license as well as the ability to travel as needed to perform job duties.
